Coming up is the Karate Examinations for Kids on Sunday, March 11th, 2012. If your child is testing please fill out the sign-up sheet located at the front of the Dojo. Examination fees are due the day of the examination – Please talk to either Kancho or one of the head instructors for more information.

New Class in 2011: Parents & Tots Karate!

Starting Monday, February 7th, 2011, Kancho is offering a new PARENTS & TOTS KARATE class, for youngsters 3 and 4 years old who want to get a jump start on their karate training. Our youngest students will learn the customs and techniques of Tenshin-Kai with their parent or guardian for a fun-filled and truly unique experience.

Parents & Tots Karate will be offered MONDAYS & WEDNESDAY, 4pm – 4:40pm.

Holiday Party this Saturday!

This Saturday, December 18th, is our annual Teshin-Kai Holiday Party!

This year, the party will not be at the dojo, but at the nearby home of one of the dojo managers. Stop by the dojo for the location and directions.

Bring your own food and drink!

KIDS @ 5pm: Kids, don’t forget to bring a wrapped gift worth about $5 for the gift exchange! You can bring your brothers and sisters, but don’t forget to have them bring a gift too. See you there!

ADULTS @ 6pm: Adults are welcome to bring friends and family. Please, as always, no alcohol at dojo related events. Just bring yourself, some wonderful food and drink and plenty of holiday cheer! Osu!

Kids/Juniors Karate Belt Exam – Nov. 14th

The next Kids and Juniors karate belt examination will be held on Sunday, November 14th.

8:00am – 8:45am: White & Yellow Belts
8:50am – 9:35am: Orange Belts and Above
9:40am – 10:00am: Juniors (over 13 yrs. old)

Regular Sunday classes will be held on this day. See you there! Osu!

Summer Seminar Postponed

Due to a cancellation by Decker Canyon Park, the annual summer seminar has been postponed. We will NOT be going to Decker Canyon August 21st & 22nd. The summer seminar will be rescheduled for sometime in September when a suitable location can be secured.

Revised Kids’ Karate Schedule

There has been a change to the kids’ karate schedule. As of June 14th, the “Intermediate” class will no longer be held on Mondays. Those students are now invited to join the Saturday class from 9:30am – 10:20am. Also, all students are invited to join the “Beginner” class whenever they would like. Thank you! Osu!
